Lessons at Northridge are available for riders of all ages and all riding levels. We tailor our lesson program to meet the needs of each individual rider. We focus on the rider obtaining the correct and safe basics of horsemanship while keeping the lessons fun and family friendly.

Riders will learn all aspects of horse care from grooming and tack to veterinary care.

Intermediate Riders  are able to work on their own without riding assistance. They are of all ages and will walk and trot with confidence in an individual lesson. Students will be provided with an curriculum that stimulates their interests and advances their skills.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare the horse and stay to untack and cool down your horse.

Beginning riders  may start as early as 4 years old. Northridge specializes in understanding the unique needs of young riders and beginning riders. Individual lessons are taught by our instructor and the assistance of the parent or one of our student apprentices. Ground work and grooming are part of the program as well as riding time.

Advanced Riders  are able to walk, trot and canter. During individual lessons they will become confident in their use of aids and move toward individual goals such as showing, jumping, riding different types of horses and much more.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the lesson to prepare your horse and stay 15 minutes after to untack and cool down your horse.
